If you’re looking to save a few bucks on your first pair of riding kicks, take a look at Morrow’s offering of snowboarding boots–you’re sure to find something that will make both you and your wallet sing with joy.

But let’s just get this out of the way right now: these are not super high quality boots. These don’t even compare to Burton snowboard boots or K2 snowboard boots. If you’re an expert rider looking for a new pair of advanced boots, you are in the wrong place, my friend.

Morrow makes beginner boots.

Perhaps they started off as the latest and greatest specimens of snowboarding footwear when the company was first formed, but over the years Morrow has become the name for highly affordable training gear that will need to be replaced after a season or two.

But don’t get us wrong! Morrow isn’t a bad company. In fact, for your first season on the mountain, when you aren’t even sure that snowboarding is going to be a life-long habit, we’d highly recommend an inexpensive brand like Morrow.

With a price tag that’s jaw-droppingly low and a decent performance, your first winter carving would be well served by these boots.

Best Morrow Snowboard Boots: Reviews & Ratings

For a better idea of what Morrow has to offer in terms of boot performance and variety, here is a look at the three bestselling models in the catalogue:

  • Morrow Slick Youth Snowboard Boots
  • Morrow Lotus Women’s Snowboard Boots
  • Morrow Kick Boa Men’s Snowboard Boots

These may not be the crème de la crème of the industry, but for beginners, they’re just right. These are affordable snowboarding boots that will take you safely around the mountain for a season or two.

Morrow Slick Youth Snowboard Boots: Reviews & Ratings

Would you believe us if we told you that you can buy a really decent pair of kids snowboard boots for less than $20? No, we wouldn’t believe it, either… But it’s true! The Slick Youth snowboard boots can be found online for a mere $19.99! Now how’s that for budget friendly?

Beyond the ridiculously low price tag, the Slick boots are a perfect fit for your kid’s first year on the slopes.

The Slick boots feature a traditional lacing system with thick nylon strings for a great fit. This means that your kids won’t have to waste time being confused by more advanced closures–if they know how to tie a double knot on their tennis shoes, then they know how to secure these boots.

These are very comfortable kids snowboard boots that will keep your child’s feet secure.

But they’re also incredibly forgiving designs, allowing your child to learn from mistakes, instead of just getting injured by them.

Some of the Morrow Slick boots’ other great features include:

  • Dura 2 Rubber Outsole
  • Nylon-Mesh Synthetic Leather Shell Design
  • Back Heel Strap

Morrow Lotus Boa Women’s Snowboard Boots: Reviews & Ratings

Drawing its name from the inspiring art of relaxation and meditation, the Lotus is a boot that will have you feeling perfectly zen as you careen down the slopes. With exceptional comfort and a fantastic performance, these boots will provide and awesomely calm trip the next time you take them to the mountain.

A lot of companies create female-specific snowboards for their product lines, knowing full well that even though we all have the same desire to carve the mountain to pieces, our bodies are very much different. But, strangely enough, there are several companies that ignore this difference in physiologies when it comes to the creation of their boots. Morrow does not.

The Lotus is a woman-specific boot that is made to fit the female form.

With a great flex and waterproof design, the Lotus is a perfect pair of snowboard boots for your first time on the slopes.

A few of the Morrow Lotus’ other awesome features include:

  • Multi-Zone Ankle Flex Points
  • Power Plus Liner with Lace Lock
  • Nylon-Mesh Synthetic Shell Construction

Morrow Kick Boa Men’s Snowboard Boots Review

The Kick is Morrow’s top snowboarding boot, marketed as the most advanced of any model in the entire catalog. While true enough, when compared to the other big name brands, the Kick pales in comparison.

Along with being the most advanced, it is also one of the most expensive. A lot of people tend to flock to the Kick because it is the priciest model of a cheap line, hoping they won’t have to upgrade to anything else by doing so. They’re wrong. This is still a boot that’s best fit for beginners.

The Kick is good, but why spend so much when you know you’re going to have to replace it soon? If you want to spend real money on boots, buy a pair of Burton snowboard boots

This isn’t to say that the Kick isn’t a good boot–it is. There are a number of great features that make this the most advanced of the lot.

The Morrow Kick’s sick features include:

  • Boa lacing system
  • STC Outsole Construction
  • Power Plus EVA Liners

Morrow Snowboard Boots: Summary

Are you a green circle snowboarder? Are you on a strict budget? Are you planning on upgrading your boots in the future?

Then you’ve come to the right place.

Morrow snowboard boots are perfect for beginning snowboarders who don’t want to break the bank on their gear before finding out if riding is something they actually enjoy. The boots aren’t the sturdiest constructions in the market, but they’ll get the job done.

A Short History of Morrow Snowboard Boots

Morrow Snowboards has a history that’s similar to other snowboarding companies: started by professional boarders looking to make a better product.

Junior World Snowboarding Champion Rob Morrow and his cousin Neil Morrow founded Morrow in 1989, when the riding craze was approaching its zenith. It was a company that was very successful into the mid 90′s, when it eventually was bought out by K2 Sports.

Today, the brand is sold mostly as an affordable, beginner line of goods, but they were once at the top of their game. Still, at least they’re being sold today, as opposed to many other companies that formed at the same time, which are now only alive in secondhand stores and the memories of older riders.
