A Short History of M3 Snowboards

M3 had a late start in the snowboard manufacturing business. It was the late nineties, and the soon-to-be company founders were dissatisfied with the way snowboards were being created. It seemed that most companies were churning out products for profit, not even taking performance into consideration. So, M3 Snowboards was born to turn the tides. Eventually, because of industry-wide financial problems, Cold Sports Distribution took over the M3 line. However, unlike the other two brands under the CSD title–Avalanche Snowboards and Silence Snowboards–M3 wasn’t relegated to the discount bins, sold as cheap, beginner boards. Instead, they continue to represent the elite line of sticks that they were always intended to be.
