It’s hard not to compare and contrast wares among different brands when you get to this high of a level, because every great company seems to push the others into innovating better, creating faster, and competing harder.

But let it be known that K2 snowboard bindings are just as good, if not better, than what Burton Snowboards offers.

Yes, they’re that good.

K2 has been around since the dawn of snowboarding, giving them a huge leg up on the younger competition. But that alone wouldn’t be enough to make them any better than any other brand.

Not only are they a brand that’s been creating and selling for a long time, but they’ve never stopped reaching for bigger, better, more advanced products. Every year, they send out products that are superior to the previous year’s line, allowing them to grow as both a supplier and an inventor.

If you’re on the lookout for a new set of bindings for your snowboard, you couldn’t do much better than buying a binding from K2. And here’s why…

A Short History of K2 Snowboard Bindings

K2 Snowboards began in the 1960′s, when a kid named Bill Kirschner borrowed a pair of skis and attempted to reconstruct them using fiberglass. He succeeded, creating a rudimentary lightweight pair of snow skis.

From there, he and his brother Don developed a love for winter sports and began crafting some of the world’s finest ski and snowboard equipment and gear. The company is named after the brothers Kirschner, but also after the world’s second largest peak, making it obvious that this is a company serious about big mountain sports. Along with skis and snowboards, K2 also makes their own line of bindings, which have been just as well received by the riding community as their other products.
